Introduction to the gallery > Collection talks >

Would you like to know more about parts of the permanent collection specifically?  Discuss what the gallery continues to collect and how it makes choices about buying particular art works. How do we decide what to display and when?  This is an opportunity to spend time with the Collections Curator to find out a little bit more about curating and public collections.

Exhibition talks >

Contemporary art exhibitions are often controversial. The New Art Gallery Walsall is an international gallery hosting new names in the art world as well as established artists, both individually and as part of group shows. Meet the Exhibition Curators to find out more about individual exhibitions, the artists behind the work and the challenges involved with curating exhibitions.

Artist's workshops >

When possible we offer artist workshops linked to a specific exhibition. Contact the education team if you are interested in finding out more about whats on offer.

In Conversation >

These In Conversation events are discussion events between an artist and a curator. It’s a 'chat show' style interview and you are invited to question the artist and curator too.

Check current events and activities in the What’s On section for the next sessions.

Artists' Studio >

The gallery runs an artist-in-residence studio programme. This often has related events and open studio days that would be ideal for higher and further education students to attend. Please see the Artists' Projects for more information.
