Come and join us for the celebration for the Artist Teacher Scheme exhibition opening August 1 & 2, an exhibition by art teachers who are also artists who have come together as a group to support each other. This exhibition shows work in progress and the artists will be available throughout the exhibition to meet and chat with visitors.

Exhibiting artists will be encouraging visitors to engage with the exhibition and leave comments about the show.

The artists studied contemporary art at The New Art Gallery Walsall, IKON and Birmingham City University alongside established artists over the last 12 months to inform their own development as artists. The Artist Teacher Scheme is a continuing professional development course run in partnership between The New Art Gallery Walsall, Ikon gallery and Birmingham City University.

Artist Teacher Scheme

The Artist Teacher Scheme is a continuing professional development course run in partnership between The New Art Gallery Walsall, Ikon gallery  and Birmingham City University. It offers artist teachers opportunities to re-engage with their own personal development as artists by extending their awareness of contemporary fine art practice.
